What is Welly made of?

Every Welly bottle and tumbler is built from premium 18/8 (304) stainless steel, with a ceramic-lined interior, a powder-coated exterior, and a BPA-free plastic cap.

Is Welly actually made in the USA?

Yes, from start to finish. Welly is designed and assembled in Pittsburgh, PA (the Steel City), using U.S. supply chain partners for our steel, caps, straws and powder coating.

What is vacuum insulation?

To keep drinks hot or cold for hours on end, we use a vacuum oven to remove the air in between the inner and outer wall of steel, creating superior insulation in all of our drinkware.

What is the 2-in-1 cap, and how does it work?

One cap handles both hot and cold drinks. Keep the straw in for cold sips on the go, or pop it out when you want to chug cold or drink hot beverages directly, no separate lid required.

What is the ceramic lining, and why does it matter?

It's what keeps your drink tasting like your drink. The interior of every Welly is coated in a ceramic lining that eliminates the metallic aftertaste common in uncoated steel bottles, so your coffee tastes like coffee and your water tastes like nothing at all. It's also naturally non-stick, which means it rinses clean easily and resists staining and lingering odors far better than an uncoated interior. When cleaning, avoid using an abrasive brush or cleaner as it can damage the ceramic coating.

Is Welly leakproof?

Yes. Every cap is engineered and tested to be leakproof, so you can toss your Welly in a bag without worrying about spills.

Is Welly BPA-free?

Yes — every component, including the cap and straw, is BPA-free.

Will my Welly fit in a cupholder?

Our 12oz, 16oz, and 20oz bottles and all of our tumblers (32oz and 40oz) are built to fit standard cupholders. The 30oz bottle is larger and may not fit every cupholder — check your vehicle or gear's dimensions if you're between sizes.

When will my order ship?

Pre-orders placed at launch are expected to ship in October 2026. You'll receive a confirmation email with tracking as soon as your order leaves our facility.

CARING FOR MY WELLY BOTTLE

Is Welly dishwasher safe?

Yes — every part of every Welly product is fully dishwasher safe. Bottles, tumblers, caps, and straws can all go right in the dishwasher (we recommend the top rack for caps and straws to protect the seal over time). No handwashing required, though it's always an option.

How do I hand wash my Welly, if I choose to?

Warm water with a drop of dish soap and a bottle brush handles most cleaning. For the straw, a thin straw-cleaning brush gets into the tube. Rinse thoroughly and let air dry with the cap off.

Will my Welly rust or corrode?

No — 304 stainless steel naturally resists rust and corrosion. To prevent any lingering moisture smell around the cap threads, let your bottle air dry fully with the lid off between uses.

How do I get rid of a lingering smell or odor?

Fill your Welly with warm water and a tablespoon of baking soda (or a splash of white vinegar), let it sit for a few hours or overnight, then rinse thoroughly.

Can I put my Welly in the freezer or microwave?

No — please don't. The vacuum-insulated double wall can be damaged by freezer temperatures, and stainless steel should never go in a microwave. Stick to the dishwasher or a hand wash.

Can I use my Welly for carbonated drinks?

We don't recommend it. Carbonation builds pressure inside a sealed insulated bottle, which can cause excessive fizzing, leaking, or difficulty opening the cap. Welly is built for water, coffee, tea, and other still beverages.

Will the color or finish scratch or chip over time?

Light surface wear is normal with regular use, especially at high-contact points like the base or cap edge. To keep the powder-coat finish looking its best, avoid abrasive scrubbers and steel wool.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

What is your return policy?

We want you to love your Welly. Unused items in like-new condition can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Please have your order number ready when you reach out.

How do I start a return or exchange?

Email support@wellybottle.com with your order number and the reason for your return, and our team will send over next steps and a return authorization.

Can I exchange my Welly for a different size or color?

Yes, exchanges are available within the 30-day return window, subject to product availability. Reach out to our support team to get started.

Who pays for return shipping?

For defective or incorrect items, we cover return shipping. For preference-based returns and exchanges (wrong size, changed your mind), a prepaid return label will be provided with the cost of shipping deducted from your refund.

My Welly arrived damaged or defective. What should I do?

Contact us right away at support@wellyusa.com with your order number and a photo of the issue. We'll make it right with a replacement or refund — no need to worry about the standard return window in this case.

Do you offer a warranty?

Welly products are covered by a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, or damage from freezing, microwaving, or carbonated beverages.

How long do refunds take to process?

Once your return is received and inspected, refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.

Are final sale or promotional items eligible for return?

Items marked as final sale at the time of purchase are not eligible for return or exchange.

Where does Welly ship to?

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Generally orders take 3-5 business days to arrive once shipped, but this can vary based on your shipping destination.
